"Before I believe you, I'd rather not believe anything anymore" - with this line FLIMMER make it clear that they don't want to sugarcoat anything. Hard-hitting realism meets very personal emotions of five twenty-somethings from the southern German province. Who expects the next 08-15 indie band is wrong. Synthetic guitars and brute distorted basses harmonize skillfully with electronic drum sounds, which are obviously taken from hip hop. Dark sound elements support the subliminal melancholy that often resonates when the songs tell of failed relationships and transfigured glances back to the oh-so-beautiful youth. So FLIMMER are honest, melancholic, nostalgic but above all: new and damn willing to overcome the inner barriers and put everything into the new project.
"Before I believe you, I'd rather not believe anything at all."
